I built a 6x45 AR and I'd like to use the brand of 10 round mag that will give the longest coal. What say you? Thanks!

AR Stoner mags have been reported to be the one but I haven't seen one to verify. Of course someone (dpms?) used to make a VLD mag but they are rare.

HK mags if I remember right were a bit longer than pmags or GI mags. I think PRI makes some also. Both are not cheap.

I wonder if a 6.8 mag would work?

I don't understand the desire to long load anything in an AR. To quote a famous politician, even if you gain 0.1", what difference would it make?

Since it is a 6x45 the bullets are longer and have to be seated really deep, right up to the start of the ogive. I'm just trying to gain back a little case capacity and ability to use monometals which are longer than cup and core.

We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

I have a mag that came with a KAC rifle (Stoner) & it's the same as the metal mags from Brownells, same length, & appears to be from the same mfg. 2.260-2.265 max. loaded length. MM

All the best things in life, live on the other side off fear.
The true eye sees not the despair of its victims, only the elegance of equilibrium. It's a demonstration of superior judgment.
